Steph O'Hara is a programmer, sound designer and musician.
As a young boy, Steph still remembers being shown a Commodore 64. The moment of wonder was after the computer flashed colours and made strange sounds, the instructor then showed the code and said, "This code tells the computer what to do!"
Steph's universe or his perspective of it changed for life.
Steph continues to write code so machines can make pretty colours and strange sounds. Sometimes he gets paid by other people to do it. He also does it most of the time regardless of what else he is doing. He loves it.
Some of the other things he does when not writing code includes being a pirate in a circus show with the Flying Fruit Fly Circus, touring the world either playing violin with Blue Grassy Knoll playing to Buster Keaton movies or mixing bands such as The Spaghetti Western Orchestra. He also does sound design and composes music for theatre shows.
He lives in Melbourne, Australia with partner Melinda and daughter Matilda.
